Sex Coaching for Women and Men
Our sexuality is vital to being rooted in our whole, authentic selves. Sometimes, we find ourselves lost and out of touch with this part of us, without a clear direction to find more pleasure and connection to our sexual self.
Sex coaching helps men, women, and intimate partners overcome insecurities and struggles to find their way back to a healthy sex life.
.How is Sex Coaching Different from Sex Therapy?
Sex and intimacy coaching focuses on supporting sexual health without delving into past traumas. Coaching makes no judgments about experiences, thoughts, feelings, or desires. Instead, we build trust to explore ourselves without fear of stigma or shame.
Working with an intimacy coach lets you learn new skills, develop compassion for your body, and explore healthy sexuality in a safe environment.
Psychotherapy is generally a longer process
Sex therapy is often a longer-term process where we compassionately examine past beliefs, feelings, and behaviors. Psychotherapy may also include a diagnosis and treatment plan. Psychotherapy aims to identify, treat, and repair underlying problems that are obstacles to achieving overall healthy long-term sexuality and intimacy.
Sex therapy uses traditional talk therapy techniques and science-based holistic treatment to address mental health issues, traumas, and past sexual abuse to reconnect with your sexuality. Therapy creates a deeper understanding of how your sexual health broadly affects your life.
Both coaching and therapy work with men and women alone or as couples therapy or coaching sessions. This includes many relationship styles and alternative ways of approaching sexuality.
Topics to explore on your road to sexual health
The complexities of sex and intimacy often spill into confusion and shame surrounding some subjects. Coaching will clarify, educate, and give you the freedom to play with:
Respectful consent and boundaries
Foreplay
Fantasies and roleplaying
Overcoming fears around sex
Embracing your gender identity
Enjoying sex after menopause
Loving yourself with positive body awareness
Boosting libido
Helping Women and Men Discover The Power of Their Bodies
Many women benefit from sex coaching when working through low libido, pelvic pain, and feeling disconnected from themselves and their partners. Men seek out coaching for issues with erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, intimacy issues, dating, and non-monogamy.
Everyone benefits from working with a sex coach to overcome shame, boost communication, and fully integrate healthy sex into life. You deserve to have pleasure in your own body and feel confident in your sexuality, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or intersectionality.
The transformations learned during coaching with a sex therapist can overcome concerns about different sexual desires, sexual dysfunction, and embarrassing topics. Coaching can also help explore topics not deemed safe to discuss with partners.
Specific considerations for different genders
Intimacy guidance is tailored to your needs.
For women, issues of empowerment, body positivity, and reclaiming agency often surface.
Men may struggle with performance pressure, communication barriers, and vulnerability.
Non-binary individuals might grapple with acceptance, identity exploration, and inclusivity.
I have a deep respect for the diversity of needs and individuals and approach sex coaching with empathy, mindfulness, and expertise.
Can couples see a sex coach together?
Yes, couples can have sessions together. I can help you break away from cycles of dissatisfaction due to mismatched desires. I can also help couples deepen intimacy and connection with daily tasks and healthy habit-forming to reach fulfillment.
Sex coaching is valid and helpful for uncoupled people and those in relationships who prefer individual attention.
Learn to be Present in Your Body
I work with people who are just starting in their exploration of sexuality and who want to deepen their relationship with their bodies and those of others through erotic play. Regardless of whether your goal is orgasm or not, the journey is the same:
Learning how to be present in your body.
Communicating clearly with partners.
Honoring yourself as an erotic being.
Get in Touch With Your Sexuality
I am passionate about helping you get in touch with your sexuality. I believe that we have been programmed to please others, often at the expense of ourselves. This is evident when we look at how sex is taught in schools, portrayed in the media and porn, and portrayed by society.
Coaching helps if you:
Are overwhelmed with a busy life and don't know where to start
Feel anxious about your body, sex, and intimacy
Have little sexual experience
Want to improve the quality of your relationships
Desire more intimacy
Experience pelvic pain or sexual dysfunction
I will help you:
Reduce sexual shame, create permission, and build confidence in the unfolding of your process
Identify what is blocking your desires, whether it is physical, emotional, mental, or relational
Utilize a mind-body approach that is holistic and inclusive
Feel supported in your sexual rhythms/cycles and provide sex education when needed
Deepen the intimate connection with yourself and with your partner
Provide healing homework and practices between sessions to help reach your goals
Create a maintenance plan to easily prioritize your sexual needs
The Coaching Process
I offer sex coaching sessions via phone, FaceTime, or Zoom video conferencing. This gives you privacy in a safe space and lessens anxiety about going into an office for an appointment.
Implementing a Step-by-Step Plan to Reach Goals
We evaluate where you are struggling in the present and implement a step-by-step plan to help you reach your goals. A sex coaching relationship begins with the belief that you are functioning well and need help in a specific area of your intimate life. Your desired outcome may include evolving how you think, feel, do, or relate to yourself and your partner.
You can take your coaching session home and into your relationships with homework and activities. These include breathwork, touching exercises, reading about intimacy, watching videos and sexual practices for solo or partnered sex. These are actionable steps to increase intimacy and pleasure.
How many coaching sessions are needed?
One session may be enough to discuss one issue and obtain actionable steps to practice and integrate. Or you may prefer ongoing sessions to make continuous, long-term progress.
Can single people benefit from intimacy coaching?
Absolutely. You can work on your own sexual goals and practice techniques and modalities that improve your sexual relationship with yourself. This sexual wellness will carry into other parts of your life, too.
