More about Cindy
As a body-centered psychotherapist and AASECT certified sex therapist, I help clients navigate sexual and relationship challenges through mind-body integration. My approach, informed by personal therapy experiences and EMDR training, addresses physical, mental, and emotional aspects of healing.
My practice embraces a sex-positive perspective, exploring various facets of sexuality and relationships. I partner with clients to reach their goals, focusing on embodying and listening to their true selves.
Working with couples in Los Angeles has become a passion. I believe learning to trust, love, and play with a partner is both daunting and deeply rewarding. My insights come not only from ongoing professional development but also from my 24-year relationship with my partner.

Meet my Colleague, Monica Garfield
My journey into therapy began with personal experiences of insensitive medical care, especially regarding relationships and intimacy. This inspired me to become a registered nurse, aiming to provide compassionate care from within the healthcare system.
As a sex educator at Planned Parenthood and other clinics, I witnessed the profound impact of nonjudgmental care. This led me to pursue psychotherapy, focusing on the emotional aspects of relationships and intimacy.
I trained at The Relational Center in Los Angeles, adopting a relational, inclusive, and social justice-focused approach. Now, I train therapists to support clients with anxiety and grief, emphasizing non-pathologizing methods and skills like mindfulness and empathy.
As a psychotherapist with a nursing background, I help clients understand how their community and cultural experiences intersect with their thoughts, feelings, and bodily experiences, impacting their relationships.
My holistic approach to sex therapy views sexuality as integral to overall well-being. I consider all aspects of life - personal, relational, work, community, social, and political - in understanding how you relate to others, both generally and intimately.
I am available virtually for residents of California, and I do have extended weekend and evening hours for your convenience.
